Our History

Committed to Our Officers, Dedicated to Our Community.

The West Allis Professional Police Association was born out of the need to unite the voices of law enforcement officers who dedicated their lives to protecting and serving the City of West Allis. In the early days, our founding members faced numerous challenges, including long hours, difficult working conditions, and limited resources. They recognized the importance of coming together to advocate for fair treatment, adequate compensation, and the necessary tools to do their job effectively.

Over the decades, our union has grown both in size and influence. We have successfully negotiated numerous contracts that have improved wages, benefits, and working conditions for our members, but continue to face severe challenges. Beyond negotiations, we have also been a steadfast advocate for our officers, providing legal support, promoting mental health and wellness initiatives, and ensuring that our members have a voice in the policies that affect their lives and careers.

Throughout our history, we have remained committed to the principles of integrity, professionalism, and service. We have navigated the changing landscape of law enforcement with resilience, always striving to uphold the rights of our members while maintaining the trust and confidence of the community we serve.

Today, the West Allis Professional Police Association continues to be a powerful advocate for our officers, working tirelessly to ensure that they receive the respect, support, and resources they need. As we look to the future, we remain dedicated to our mission of protecting those who protect others, honoring the legacy of those who came before us, and building a stronger, safer community for all.
